The task manager is nice. There are a few things about it that could be improved, but I guess they don't want to weigh it down with too much complexity. (Also, if you haven't tried the calendar widget, it's simple, elegant, and useful.) What gmail really needs, though, is the ability to sort your inbox by sender, subject, attachment size, etc. Every other mail client does this, but for some reason gmail still doesn't. Plus, when you click into a conversation, the order goes from being descending (newest on top) to ascending (oldest on top).... so in a long conversation you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to get the newest message. Oh well..... it's still the best email system there is.

My gmail account has been hanging up a lot lately, and sometimes taking forever to load. I wish they would focus on streamlining it and worrying less about extra features and addons. I just want to be able to get in and get out sometimes.

Many people believe that google has played dirty here and have killed the market for 'remember the milk' plug-in that was already available for gmail.

Which other features did you like? I am not using the gmail themes yet.
