The Mystery team which had enrolled in the Lunar X prize competition almost a year back has recently revealed their identity. This happened in a conference which was conducted in the NASA Ames Research Center.
This company called Next Giant Leap consists of various members coming from different areas like aerospace, academic and other business communities. They have declared that their first year marked some great recruitment involving quality team members. This was aimed at achieving their goals. Their world class team had assembled to take a step towards the winning of the Google X prize. This will eventually establish NGL as a commercial level services company.
When this goes public, the company believes that, they will be having a team of experienced participants and various innovative and small scale companies.
The company consists of Microsat Systems, Inc, Draper Laboratory, MIT Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Aurora Flight Sciences, Busek Co.Inc. Their specialization is hence wide spread and more innovation oriented. They have a great academic partner and have a strong confidence when trying for the X prize, which is in fact something big from Google. This is why the CEO of the X prize foundation finds it good to make this secret go public for the benefit of the team as a company.
