A few days ago there was a video posted on YouTube of a Bosnian woman throwing small puppies into a river. There was a big outcry and a hunt was on to find the puppy killer. Apparently it was her brother who made the movie and he justified it by saying that they puppies were dangerous. The famous film director Michael Bay has been so outraged by this girl’s horrendous act, that he is offering a £32,000 for her identity. There have also been death threats made on many social media sites against this young woman.
The thing that has most upset people is this woman’s obvious joy at her cruelty. You can see clearly in her face that she is enjoying the act. Why she would then allow her torture to be filmed and uploaded to YouTube is hard to understand. If she was looking for a reaction then she certainly got it. This follows just one week after a British woman was caught throwing a cat into a dumpster – another video that was uploaded to YouTube.
It is hard to feel sorry for this woman in question, but putting a bounty on her head does sort of seem a bit extreme. It could also send the wrong message to people. Perhaps there will be a rise in videos of people torturing animals in the hope of getting money out of the rich of famous. After all it is not like you get ‘hard time’ for animal cruelty; the most you can look forward to is a small fine. Meanwhile you can have £32,000 to share with a helpful friend who gave away your identity for the reward – not a bad way to scam the rich out of their cash. Hopefully this will be the end of animal cruelty on YouTube but something tells me it could just be the beginning.
