As twotter is increaisng in popularity Twitter search is set to become a marketing activitiy in itself. It will soon become common for businesses to focus on ongoing Twitter marketing to complement any existing Search engine optimisation camipaigns that might be in place.

To be no.1 ranked in twitter is important but the more important is how to get our article with a potential keywords be the first page in the search engine especially google.

Tweeter is good for stars. Who cares about a nobody what is doing? I don’t, but maybe when britney spears get laid i care! .. anyway its a fake potential activity what she is writting there, is only to manipulate masses oppinion.

I found some twitter accounts that are ranking to very good keywords.

My main use of twitter is for affiliate marketing and I’ve seen several articles that says it’s a great way to earn money. Right now I’m on the way of gaining followers and perhaps use my twitter account to sale stuffs on the net. But never heard of this article before, i’ll try optimizing my blog now using my twitter… your blog is really informative^^ bookmarked it now

Personally, I don’t see a point to trying to rank for a given keyword on Twitter. It’s not a search engine. It’s a social networking platform.

It’s more important to build up a strong following with loyal readers than to place yourself somewhere in the Twitter search.

Personally I’d not want to put effort into promoting a website that you don’t have control over. Twitter could be bought out / changed / go bust and all your hard work would be wasted. Surely it’s better to promote your own domain name / website that you ultimately have control over?

I’m embarrassed to say I have never used Twitter before when I am a university student studying Information Technology. I thought it was just people sending updates to followers on what they are doing, not sure how it can be used for SEO or gaining more traffic for your site. I guess I’ll have to sign up for it and take a closer look.

I am wondering if anyone out there has had success with this method. I better go try it for myself. But, wouldn’t it be easier to rank high with a blogspot blog and use a link to promote to your main site. Blogspot blogs tend to get favored by google. Or is it just me?

The area on which his tips will be more useful is very important because it is the core of the whole information being given. I suppose twitter user may follow all the leads possible and check which one works best..though that is time consuming.

since twitter is realtime search, the tweets which are new are ranked higher if you are searching twitter search. So no point SEOing that part. If talking about brands, then yes twitter results do get a ranking in google. Not sure if we can use it to our advantage.
