If you can target your group, it will be better value for money, as is the same with offline marketing. It’s better to give away free promotional products to people interesting of your products than just to everybody, sure you will get exposure, but you need to think about ROI.

This is good for both, users as well as advertisers.

Advertisers actually want to show their ads to interested people only. There is no sense of showing ads to not interested public. And users also want to see ads of their interest only.

Google has tried to combine search history to customize user’s results earlier as well. There was a hue and cry made by privacy enthusiasts

I think linking two queries would be better because it is likely to improve search results as well as ads served.

Will advertisers be given a choice to opt out of this ‘two query linked ads’ is yet to be seen!!
