It's best that they keep separated. The more players around, the more ideas and benefits we can get.

I'm wondering if this is an anti-trust issue. You have to think the Feds are starting to breathe down Google's neck and whispering the word Monopoly. Google may have to be careful on the acquisitions/mergers they make from here on out..they will stick out like a sore thumb because they are so big.

Remember what Microsoft went through several years ago?

I for one agree to the fact that their marriage ended up in a divorce (if it ever was a marriage:). I think at the long run, it will benefit users and publishers like us, in particular when it relates to MMO and quality searches. Yahoo, in my view had two failed attempts. One refusing MS offer and now the failed agreement with google. Will they revamp with something better than AdSense? Will they re-approach MS for a deal. Who knows. That all remains to be seen.

^I also feel the same way. Its nice to have some options along the way.Binding the two giants will perhaps give consumers little choices to make.
